is used for words starting with Consonants: b, c, d, f, g, h...
Examples:

An is used for words starting with Vowels (a, e, i, o, u) or unpronounced h
Examples:
An Apple

An Ant

An Angel

An Animal

An Egg

An Elephant

An Ice-cream

An Orange

An Umbrella

An Hour (h is not pronounced)

Quantifier: Some (unspecific)

Some is used for plural when the quantity is not specified

Examples:
Some apples

Some ants
