The CVC Rule and Continuous Verbs

 

The CVC Rule is used to help you to remember whether you have to double or not consonants in situations like continuous verbs, past tense or comparative. The acronym CVC means Consonant Vowel Consonant.

 

Consonants are: B, C, D, F, G, H, J, K, L, M, N, P, Q, R, S, T, V, W, X, Y, Z

Vowels are: A, E, I, O, U

 

Observe and analyze the examples below:
