There is / There are - Simple Past Interrogative

 

The Simple Past Interrogative is done as shown below:

 

 

Affirmative

Interrogative

Singular

There was

Was there?

Plural

There were

Were there?

 

Examples:

 

Singular

Was there a man at the corner of the street?

Was there a glass on the table?

Was there a boy in the classroom?

 

Plural

Were there two men at the corner of the street?

Were there three glasses on the table?

Were there four boys in the classroom?
