Grammar Verb Tense: Simple Past Negative - Irregular Verbs (click on the verb to download/listen)   As with the regular verbs, the rule is the same for the irregular ones: add the adverb "not" after the auxiliary "did".   Examples:   Singular 01) I didn´t see the airplane flying in the sky because it was very cloudy and dark 02) You were not studying when I arrived at your house in the morning. You were watching TV with your little sister 03) He didn´t do his job because he was rather tired and he didn´t want to work 04) She didn´t drive her car because it had a flat tire and she didn´t know
